The Rector, the Rev’d Steven Brookes
Fr Steven was born in Warrington in 1960 and educated at the Boteler Grammar School, Warrington and Lancaster University. He trained for the priesthood at Cuddesdon College and served two curacies in the Diocese of Liverpool at Old Swan and West Derby. He spent some years as a naval chaplain before returning to parochial ministry as Rector of Weybridge in Surrey. He was appointed Rector of Liverpool in 2003. His interests include church buildings and conservation, and foreign travel (especially to Spain). He is a member of the Archbishops' Council's "Cathedrals and Church Buildings Council".

Assistant Priest, the Rev'd John Williams
Fr John was born in Wigan in 1982 and grew up there as part of a large family. He read for a Theology degree at St Chad's College, Durham. After this he was pastoral assistant at the Parish Church of the Holy Spirit, Dovecot before training for priestly ministry at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield. He served his curacy in the semi-rural Parish of the Upper Skerne, in the Diocese of Durham. He was licensed as assistant priest by the Bishop of Warrington in September, 2010. His interests include cooking, cycling, and walking and he likes to travel.

Chaplain to Liverpool's Universities, the Rev'd Bob Lewis
Fr Bob was born in Crosby in 1953 and educated at Merchant Taylors’ School and Lancaster University. He trained for the priesthood at Ripon College, Cuddesdon and was ordained in 1978. His first curacy was here at St Nick’s. He then combined the roles of Diocesan Youth Officer and Chaplain to Archbishop Blanch School, followed by over 20 years ministering in parishes just outside Warrington, 15 years as Rector of Winwick and 7 years as Area Dean of the Winwick Deanery and Bishop’s Planning Officer. In 2002 he was installed as an Honorary Canon of the Cathedral.

Matthew was born in Cornwall and has since moved around the UK for university, and work. He moved to Liverpool in September 2011 to support the ministry at St. Nick’s. He has a varied role, including hospital visiting, helping with Sunday School, supporting carol services and other occasions, and working in the parish office and parish centre. He is here for 12 months to gain experience in church ministry. His interests include films, walking and computer security.”
